The traditional tie-dyeing technique passed down in Arimatsu-Narumi, Aichi Prefecture, is called "Mokume Maki Nui Koboshi Shibori." The intricate white patterns created by this precise handcraft emerge from the deep background color, quietly showcasing the beauty of Japanese dyeing just by wearing it.
"Horizon" is one of three patterns that make up MIZEN's 27SS collection. As the name suggests, the zipper running like a horizon line from the back to the cuffs is the core of this design. The zipper with four pulls can be opened in any way, allowing the silhouette to be changed in countless ways. This is a garment that shows a different look every day, depending on the wearer's taste and mood.
The relaxed, oversized form instantly elevates any style just by putting it on. It is a rare MIZEN piece that blends the texture of traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design.

The name "Horizon" comes from the horizon, the line where the sky and earth meet.
The zipper that runs like a horizon from the back to the front opening is more than just a design; it's a mechanism that gives the wearer the freedom to adjust the silhouette according to their posture and mood. By changing the position and width of the four-pull zipper, you can find the look that suits you best for the day.
This pattern is born from the narrow width of a kimono fabric – a limited width of 38 cm. From that width emerges a bold silhouette that completely envelops the body, something unimaginable given the fabric's size. It is precisely because of the ingenious combination of narrow fabric pieces in the "HORIZON" pattern that this design, which transcends constraints, can be realized.
