Generally, ties are cut by placing them on the bias at a 45-degree angle to the vertical direction of the fabric. Therefore, if the fabric width is narrow, there will be more seams, which is inefficient. For this reason, it is not common to make ties from kimono fabric. However, MIZEN pondered whether it was possible to create kimono fabric ties that more people could use. As a result, as proof that they are tailored from kimonos, they decided to incorporate seams as diagonal cuts (slashes) in the most visible places, and thus presented them as MIZEN ties (trademark registered). This also expresses MIZEN's philosophy, which prioritizes craftsmanship, by wanting to introduce kimonos, which are products of handiwork, to the world as ties.

When tied, the unique knots on the surface of Ushikubi Tsumugi fabric and the luster of the silk appear elegantly, making it a sophisticated piece that adds flair to any outfit, whether for everyday wear or special occasions. It is also an ideal gift for loved ones.

This product is dyed using various natural dyes,
and may experience color fading or transfer due to moisture, sweat, or friction.

Avoid wearing with white or light-colored items,

Store in a well-ventilated place, away from direct sunlight, UV rays, and fluorescent lights.

Also, as it is a natural material (Tsumugi), knots may be seen in places, but please enjoy this as the original texture of the fabric.
