Generally, ties are cut by placing them on the bias at a 45-degree angle to the vertical direction of the fabric. Therefore, if the fabric width is narrow, there will be many seams, which is not efficient, so ties are not typically made from kimono fabric. However, MIZEN pondered whether it was possible to create ties from kimono fabric that more people could use. As a result, as proof that it was tailored from a kimono, we designed the seam to be a diagonal cut (slash) in the most visible place, and thus launched the MIZEN tie (trademark registered). This also expresses MIZEN's philosophy, which prioritizes craftsmanship, in wanting to bring kimonos, a result of handmade artistry, into the world as ties.

The colors, woven from pink to navy, seem to capture the momentary brilliance of the sunrise ascending into the sky. When tied, the knots on the fabric surface and the luster of the silk are captivating.

＜Handling of Yonezawa-ori products＞

This product is dyed using various natural dyes,
and color fading/transfer may occur due to moisture, sweat, or friction.

Avoid wearing with white or light-colored items,
and please be careful about color transfer to bags, accessories, chairs, sofas, furniture, etc.

Avoid direct sunlight, UV rays, and fluorescent lights, and store in a well-ventilated place.

Also, as it is a natural material (tsumugi), some knots may be visible, but please enjoy it as part of the fabric's natural texture.
